We recommend the following to assist in your packing for a successful Space Technology Session

  • Seasonal clothing and toiletries - see Denver and Virtual Tourist websites for local suggestions and agenda for daily attire
  • Notepad and pen
  • Laptop or iPad
  • Cell Phone
  • Digital Camera (if not part of phone; both still and video capability)
  • Cabling to connect cell phone or digital camera to laptop
  • Chargers for electronics
  • Business cards
  • Optional: Independent Internet Connectivity (e.g. 4G card or resources to tether laptop to cell phone; wireless is not guaranteed at host facility)
  • Optional: Power Strip and/or extension cord
  • Project-Specific Tools (if applicable - consult with the lead of your assigned project)

For the Surface Kinetic Investigations (SKI) Day we recommend the following:

  • Winter coat
  • Gloves
  • Shades or ski goggles
  • Winter boots (if you ski or snowboard you will rent specailized boots, but the rest of the time you will appreciate your winter boots)
  • Thermal underwear
  • Optional: Snow pants
  • Consider what to buy versus what to rent.  It may not make sense to buy something you will only use once every few years.  Visit the ski resort website to see what is available for rental and compare against what you could buy at a local sporting goods store.
  • Browse articles for what to wear at a ski resort such as USA Today, Breckenridge, Ski Coach, and Colorado Mountain Basics for their advice.
